What We Do

LS29 Special Needs Group provide after-school, weekend and school holiday activities for young people, their siblings and parents.

We are a positive, fun group and want to give all children experiences that are inclusive, accessible and push personal boundaries.

Our aim is to develop mutual support networks, friendships and try activities people wouldn't have had the confidence to do without this group.

Activities include a variety of sports, or experiencing art, music and cultural events, to increase confidence and reduce isolation - within a supportive environment.

Parents or Carers are required to accompany and be responsible for their children at all events.

Who We Are

LS29 was formed in 2006 by a group of parents who were unhappy with the lack of support in their local area for families with special needs.

Now we have over 200 families who are members!

We are still a parent led charity, run by volunteers who work closely together to organise events, raise awareness in the community, fundraise and oversee the smooth running of the charity.
